A reader of this blog, Olivia, was wonderful enough to send me some photos she took of the room the boy stayed in that show a slight glow coming from the window.

I admit that it’s not a strong glow, but it could definitely be a glow.

Carnival of the Creators – January 11, 2007

Welcome to the January 11, 2007 edition of Carnival of the Creators. I’m honored to be allowed to host this carnival this month. There are a lot of talented people out there and we had quite a few send in entries this time around. I hope you’ll visit each of them and see what they have to offer.

Rocket presents Unknown Onward Drawn – Part 2 – The Departure posted at The Rocketman’s Change For A Dollar, saying, “Part 2 of a fantasy story I began writing in June. The initial post was not intended to produce a serial, but a recent re-visitation sparked a few ideas, and so I’ll be working at this one for a while. Enjoy!”

Jake Danger presents Warrior Poet – A True Story » “Chungking Mansions: Tuesday, April 19, 2001” posted at Warrior Poet – A True Story.

Karl Staib presents Meditation Series for Beginners posted at 10,000 Swimming Pools Inside Our Minds.

Brandon Peele presents The Economics of Self-Awareness posted at GT.

Jack Yoest presents Rocky Balboa: Courage, Integrity, Faith, Victory The Movie posted at Reasoned Audacity, saying, “Your Business Blogger was in Philly recently and wondered about the Rocky statue that was briefly at the top of the 72 steps to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Since September, the statue is now at the base of the steps.

So I decided to ask the man who might know, Sylvester Stallone.

Why? I asked him.

Rocky Sly says, It’s better where it is — at the base of the steps. At the top was the completion — the end — but it’s not the completion that counts — it’s the journey. The Effort; The Passion.”

Cyndi presents Making a mixed media necklace from piano ivories posted at Cyndi Lavin, saying, “a new tutorial on my blog :-)”

Dawn Xiana Moon presents Why I Will Never Have a Boyfriend posted at Dawn Xiana Moon: Randomness.

Douglas T presents Setting graphic design free posted at Thoughts on Design.

James presents Learning to Pitch posted at On The Scene.

Mallory presents Naughty Secretary Club posted at Miss Malaprop – independent, sustainable, eco-friendly shopping, film, art, fashion, crafts & design, from New Orleans with love.

Will Chen presents Micro-donations for Darfur posted at Wisebread, saying, “Greg Go of Wise Bread presents the “Darfur Wall,” a solemn and beautiful reminder of the ongoing tragedy in Darfur.”

Corey presents Web 2.0 posted at myopiniononeverything.com.

lorenzo presents Channeling Inspiration posted at RealitySeeds, saying, “he Inspiration Channeling Method can be used to invoke and channel inspiration for a multitude of purposes, including finding inspiration for art projects, creating new business ideas, speaking with customers or partners, writing inspired blog posts and articles, bringing the best contribution during work meetings, create new ideas, bring inspiration and advice to others, etc…”

I Laughed Out Loud!

One of my fellow B5 bloggers, Ingrid Diaz, sent me an email with this in the signature:

“There are two types of people in the world: those who are good with words, and those who … erm … thingie.”

I laughed out loud!  Thanks for the smile, Ingrid!
